French Battalion 1815

Time flies. Its been 2 weeks since the last entry so I thought I had better catch up. I've been working on some Perry plastics and here they are:

It's easy to forget how time consuming Napoleonics can be however I have been promising myself some of these for a long time. Surprisingly, to me at least, it was their trousers that seemed to take forever but overall I was pleased with how they turned out.

They are currently on eBay at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281106364069?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 if you wish to own them. I'm happy to undertake commission work on similar units - PM me at philipjhatton@gmail.com if you are interested and I promise that prices are sensible being neither stupidly high nor stupidly low!

Next up will be a Battalion of Marlborough's infantry based for BTLB. Fantastic figures from Ebor miniatures. Here's the first one on the drawing board:

  1. I really like your crisp style and the basing - I have just brought some grass tufts so giving that a go. Hope they look as good as yours when I am done. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Thanks. Its hard to go wrong with the grass tufts. Just dunk the base in a pool of PVA glue and then apply. The PVA dries clear so you cannot overdo it. Good luck.
